Full Tour Itinerary

Day 0: Arrival Day In Moshi.

Upon arrival at Moshi, you will be met and transferred with our driver, for overnight stay at Your Hotel (B&B). After reaching your hotel, check in and rest for the long trip from your home Land to Moshi.

Meals: DINNER.

Day 1: Moshi Town To Materuni Waterfalls, Coffee Tour And Hot Local Lunch.

In the morning you will depart from your hotel at 07:30 am, at this time your driver will drive from Moshi town directly to Materuni Village.

Materuni is the home of the Chagga tribe and is still an authentic tribal village. This charming place is just 15km away from Moshi Town and is the last village before Kilimanjaro National Park. You will be picked up in Moshi in the morning, by our English-speaking guide, who will drive you to Materuni Village. Upon arrival, you will register at the village office and your trip can begin.

First you will visit the waterfalls, which are around a 40 minute walk away. On the way, your guide will inform you about the culture of the Chagga, village life and explain the surrounding fauna and flora. The views are truly breathtaking and with some luck you will see the summit of Kilimanjaro. When you reach the waterfalls, you will see that they are more than 80 meters high. The pool at the bottom of the waterfall is an inviting place for a refreshing swim so don‘t forget your swimwear!.

After having enjoyed the scenery, you slowly return with your guide to the village, where you will experience a traditional Hot Chagga lunch. You also will have the opportunity to taste our local banana beer, definitely not to be missed! But that’s not all. Next the coffee experience awaits you. Here you will learn how coffee is

cultivated, dried, roasted and further processed.

You will also be invited to help with the grinding of the coffee, which is traditionally accompanied by Chagga songs and dances – a fun way to immerse yourself in the local culture.

Before you say goodbye and return in the evening in Moshi, you can savor the coffee you made and appreciate the views of the surrounding rainforest.

Day 2: Moshi Town To Chemka Hot Spring.

In the morning after breakfast in your hotel will leave the Hotel and collect your lunch box then drive to the hot spring.

Chemka Hot spring this beautiful mineral spring originates from Kilimanjaro ground waters The Chemka Hot Springs are about 40 kilometers away from Moshi, in the homonymous village called Chemka. They are underground springs with warm water. The water forms a clear and clean pond which is ideal for swimming. The pond is very deep, in some places up to 10 meters, but the water is so clear that you can see the bottom well all the time. The pond is situated under lush trees. On the shore you can camp, enjoy your snacks and let yourself dry after swimming.

The road to the Hot Springs is very bumpy and windy, so driving takes more than one hour. During the trip you can enjoy the wonderful scenery and see the authentic Tanzanian life. When we arrive at the Hot Springs you can swim, relax, eat your lunch and enjoy the sun. If you’d like, while you are swimming we can be preparing a barbecue for you. Everywhere around the springs you can see Blue monkeys, and different monkeys.

Activities While At Chemka Hot Springs Are

You pass through local villages.
Chance of meeting a variety of primates including baboons.
Explanation about local people/life and tradition of masai people.
Enjoying the scenic views of mount Kilimanjaro.
Enjoy swimming in the hot spring.
Have chips, mayai, and barbecue for lunch.
Swing and jump into the hot ponds.

Then in evening at 04:00 pm leave the Hot spring, then drive back to moshi, and drop off at the hotel that you will let us know for overnight and Dinner.
